How many guests are on each tour?
Each tour is limited to a small group of 6–8 guests to ensure a personal and intimate experience.
What kind of hiking should I expect?

We hike 3–7 miles each day at a moderate pace, allowing time for scenic breaks, village stops, and local interaction. Terrain is varied but manageable — forest paths, riversides, and rolling countryside.

Do I need to be an athlete to participate?

No — but you should enjoy walking and feel comfortable being outdoors for several hours each day. A moderate fitness level is recommended.

Where do we stay?

All guests stay in a single, beautifully restored stone manor just outside Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. This one-of-a-kind basecamp allows you to unpack once and settle in for the week.

Are meals included?

Breakfast and daily wonderful French sit down meals at local restaurants are included. The French love their long multi course lunches and so do I so we won’t miss one. Dinner will be on your own at the accommodation with food purchased on your own at markets and grocery stores.  I have found after traveling in France many times, after being out and about all day and eating a large lunch I like to stay in and have a small meal at home. This works well for me and I hope it will work for you too. French grocery stores have a fantastic array of meals cooked ready to eat that I routinely purchase for dinners in.  We won’t be hungry and food is of the best parts of being in France and meant to be enjoyed to the fullest.

What’s included in the tour price?

The package includes 6 nights of lodging, all guided hikes and transportation during the week.

What if it rains?

We hike rain or shine! Please bring appropriate waterproof gear. On heavier weather days, we may adjust the itinerary to include covered markets, museums, or shorter walks.

Can I join alone?

Absolutely. Many guests travel solo, and this is a welcoming, relaxed environment perfect for individuals looking for authentic connection and calm adventure.

How do I book?

Book the travel package here on our website. The tour is non-refundable so purchase travel insurance to cover your investment in case you can’t make it. I don’t recommend one specific insurance company, there are many to choose from, and it is at your discretion. If you can’t make it and your reason for not attending isn’t covered by insurance, you can transfer your spot to someone else. Just contact us to make this arrangement.
